Veteran award-winning restaurateur Ben, and his wife Shirley (a former hotel school lecturer), established Ben's in 2004. They have created a stylish yet relaxed venue, where a varied selection of dishes is offered. 

Ben says: "Many diners prefer simple dishes such as a great steak or a fresh fillet of fish and with this in mind, we have created our menu."

The Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop is situated in Gordon’s Bay Road, Strand. It provides good coffee and food in a tranquil environment. It has a large fire place to warm up for the winter and a venue hall that is ideal for functions. The garden gives a relaxing atmosphere were one can escape from the day’s work. It shares the garden with Envy Hair design where ladies can enjoy a good cup of coffee.

There is also a playground for the little ones as well as a Kids menu. The Restaurant is licensed for those who want to enjoy something stronger.

The Coffee Shop have facilities to hold functions, baby showers birthday parties and small weddings. It has a max capacity of 80 people. A cash bar can provide drinks during events and the kitchen cater according to your needs and kids parties are most welcome. The venue hall can be separated and your event can be private while the restaurant operates normally.

The fireplace is in the venue hall and it provides a warm atmosphere for your event.
In the summer months, the event can be moved to the garden where guests can enjoy a large braai or even a spit braai.
